Welcome!

We begin February with a family friendly worship and communion service so kids are welcome in the service and there are no Sunday School programs. This week we focus on Jesus teaching to be salt and light in the world. Light shines energy outward into the world. Salt has many different purposes but it brings out true flavors and preserves. Both of these things help us be more truthful people. We shine light to enlighten and uncover that which is hidden in darkness, and we bring out what is true in ourselves and those around us.

The only way we can live with such transparency is if we know we are loved by God unconditionally and to practice that love with each other. It is not easy to love this way but this is the love that the world needs. I hope your worship with us will help strengthen you to be light and salt in the world.

I hope you will join us this Sunday at 10:00am for meaningful worship, thoughtful exploration, and community, as we explore this week’s text together. If you cannot join us in person, we will be attempting to stream this service through Internet Streaming.

Peace,
Reverend Matt Gough

Growing our SoulSet: Sunday, February 12th, 4:00pm
in Dennis Hall 3

We are going to look at the concept of sin and salvation. We will spend some time discussing the concept of corporate sin and the role the church has in addressing it, particularly looking at the Barmen Declaration (found in the PCUSA’s Book of Confessions) which was written by German Christians addressing the complicity of the church in the rise of nationalistic fascism in 1930’s Germany.

A GHOST RANCH GLANCE!
This Sunday, February 5, at 11:15am in Dennis Hall.
Whether you’re interested in traveling with 1st Pres or independently, there are program opportunities
for the whole family!

SUNDAY WORSHIP AND WINTER STORMS

We have signed up for an automatic messaging system. Those who wish to receive an automated message when worship services have been canceled please give your name and phone number to the church. You can also click the link for the email here. We will only use this when we are canceling worship or a major church event due to weather hazards. If receiving the phone call your caller ID will be the church number 541-753-2228 and there will be a pause after you answer. It will also leave a voicemail if you do not/are not able to pick up.

We will never send calls out after 8:00pm or before 8:00am. Your numbers are kept confidential and not sold or traded by the messaging company.

Even if we have worship, if it is not safe for you to venture out or you are vulnerable to being gravely injured if you slip and fall, then stay home!

Weekday Winter Weather Policy-If the schools are closed due to weather during weekdays, then our building and church office are closed. All planned events will be postponed canceled, including rooms rented for events.
