Confession
What does it mean to be a church with Confessions? We aren’t talking about confessing sins but confessing what we believe? And why do we keep adding to our confessions? Confessions are always rooted in a particular context. Do you still believe everything you ever believed 20 years ago?
How can we be a church with beliefs rooted in traditional confessions, but also a church that is able to grow and mature as dynamic people of God?
FILM EVENT FUNDRAISER: GIRL RISING will be shown on March 8th at 7pm in Dennis Hall. The cost is $10 and proceeds will go to Friendship with Cambodia. From Academy Award-nominated director Richard E. Robbins, Girl Rising journeys around the globe to witness the strength of the human spirit and the power of education to change the world.
Viewers get to know nine unforgettable girls living in the developing world: ordinary girls who confront tremendous challenges and overcome nearly impossible odds to pursue their dreams. Prize-winning authors put the girls’ remarkable stories into words, and renowned actors give them voice.

Hard copies of the 2016 Annual Report will be available this Sunday, atop the Gathering Space kiosk. A limited number were printed, so if we run out, please use the sign-up sheet on the kiosk to receive one. The annual report is also available to view on our website.
Got Wiggles? Beginning this Sunday, February 26th and going forward, whenever we are not hosting Sunday school: Café Church is open. This is a space in Ed Hall where the service is being projected and there are activities for young ones. Feel free to worship together in the Sanctuary and then head up there during the passing of the peace.

Next Sunday, March 5th, Lenten Devotional Bookmarks will be available on the Gathering Space kiosk. These will guide you through each week of Lent.
Lenten Book study led by Pastor Sharon.Sabbath: Finding Rest, Renewal and Delight in Our Busy Lives, by Wayne Muller. Order your own or sign up this Sunday and we’ll order for you. ($10) Thursdays, 12:00pm, 3/9-4/13. Also participate through the church Facebook page.
Reiki sessions are every Thursday of the month.Sign-ups for Reiki sessions from either 3:00pm-4:00pm or 4:00pm-5:00pm are available through the church office. Come join us! For more information and testimonies on the healing relief of a Reiki session, call the church office. 541-753-2228.
Flowers: Sign up to bring flowers to Worship. Flowers can then later be distributed to our homebound people! A sign-up sheet is located on the bulletin board across from the office.
Name tags – Many members and friends graciously wear name tags to be more hospitable. Temporary name tags are available in the Narthex or from an usher. If you make 1st Pres your worshipping home then let the office know and we will gladly make you a permanent one! If you have a name tag please wear one, and introduce yourself to your neighbors!
Just a reminder that there is no parking parallel to the yellow curb in the parking lot. Please only park in designated parking lot spaces or out on the street. On Sundays, parking is also available in the Multi-Cultural Center parking lot across 9th Street.
