Called to Grace!

Singers! Help lead Hymns this Summer!

It is always nice to have some voices up on the Chancel to help lead us in singing hymns. I hear it is also nice for the people watching our service through web-streaming to more clearly hear voices when we sing. You would not need to wear a robe and you can sit in the pew and come up to help lead the hymns.  And if you have a favorite hymn you’d like us to sing I’ll put it in the service!

Sign up for the dates you can sing here.

Rev. Matt Gough

Welcome!
Hello

First Presbyterian is a gathering of vibrant and diverse people seeking to be God’s people in Corvallis and beyond. We begin with belonging so that everyone is welcome.
I hope to see you in worship but if you cannot be with us this Sunday in worship you can join us through streaming.
Best,
Matt

Worship Theme

Prophet Isaiah, Marc Chagall

Prophet Isaiah, Marc Chagall

Isaiah is called and in that calling he is given a purpose. We have all felt we knew our purpose at some point, and also that that purpose changes and grows with us. Sometimes, when we do not examine and reexamine what our purpose is we lose our way or live a life of going through the motions.
Christ, in the Gospel of John, says we need a complete rebirth. People have interpreted this in many ways but maybe, like Isaiah, it is simply being cleared of all that blinds us to a complete awareness of who we are and who we are called to be.
