Blessing of the Backpacks
Bring your school backpack as we say a blessing for all it represents ahead. Not in school?! That’s OK! Bring your work bag, or any bag or that represents your plans or activities for the next academic year
Rev. Matt Gough
Welcome! Hello
I love Rally Day! We begin the academic year with joy and hope for the life of our community. If you’ve been away this summer we hope you will come worship with us and reconnect with old friends. We’ll also have the ministry fair so that you can visit with all the gways First Presbyterian is active. Maybe you’ll find new ways to get involved!
If you cannot join us in person you can always be with us through Internet Streaming.
Best,
Matt
WORLD IN PRAYER
For those interested in a weekly prayer that incorporates what is happening in the world. Click here where a new prayer is offered every Thursday.
The disciples wondered this about Jesus and that was important. However, I think Jesus also wanted them to consider who they were. That is what discipleship is all about: Living into exactly who we are created to be.
This Fall we start an exploration into just what it means to be a disciple, a person of faith, a human being.
Sunday School Volunteer Opportunities We are looking for a group of Happy Helpers to assist our Sunday school teachers this year. As a Happy Helper you wont have to plan lessons, just help ensure the day goes smoothly. You’ll take attendance, add an extra pair of hands to the day’s activity, and help with crowd control. Sign up HERE if you’re interested!
