Presbyterian Women

Our Purpose

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:

  • to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
  • to support the mission of the church worldwide,
  • to work for justice and peace and to build an inclusive, caring community that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.

Our Mission Projects

Using funds generated from contributions, offerings, receptions, and gifts of time and talent, Presbyterian Women gave to others in the following ways during 2018-2019:

  • In addition to our annual monetary gifts to Birthday Offering, Thank Offering, and Least Coin, we contributed funds to our Church Library, Westminster House, Community Outreach, Church Window Project, Grace Center, Friendship with Cambodia and Presbyterian Preschool and Child Care Center.
  • Piecemakers is an ecumenical family of quilters who donate their time and talent in our community and beyond. Thanks to the support of this congregation with gifts of fabric and the annual quilt show, sale, and raffle, the group donated 184 beautiful quilts — 101 to Vina Moses, eight to Evergreen Hospice and 75 to the ABC House. Piecemakers also had a quilt sale on church property the Saturday of Fall Festival. It was very successful and will become an annual event.

Piecemakers gather each Wednesday from 9:15-11:15am in the church basement for good work and fellowship. Please join us!
